75 years
MNWB’s 75th anniversary event in Westminster
It has been 75 years since the Merchant Navy Welfare Board was formed by the UK Government to oversee the provision of welfare for merchant seafarers and fishers.
To mark the occasion, the Board held a drinks reception in the House of Commons on October 16 which was attended by over 100 supporters, stakeholders, constituent members, Port Welfare Committee chairs, ambassadors, parliamentarians, journalists and those from the wider maritime sector. At the event we launched our newly-released UK Port Welfare Provision Report and shared our long-term strategy. Take a look at our picture gallery from the evening below.
