About the course
Dementia awareness training (half day or full day)This dementia awareness training was presented to employees at one of our constituent member care homes. The feed back was very positive and changes were made following the course to improve the well being of residents living with dementia.
This course will cover
The signs and symptoms of dementia, how dementia affects behaviour, the senses and communication, how to build positive relationships with people affected by dementia using increased knowledge, empathy and practical skills.

Course Logistics
The Board at the request of the Care homes under our umbrella will arrange with Alzheimer’s Society to present in person training on site at a mutually agreed date and time.
Course Funding
The course is fully funded by the Board.
